This Free Items Policy governs the terms and conditions for all digital products that are offered for free on the DigiHubz marketplace. This policy is an extension of and is governed by our Terms of Use and Author Terms.
By uploading or downloading a free item on our Platform, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.
Free items are offered by our authors as a way to provide value to the community, showcase their skills, and build a reputation on the Platform. This policy ensures that even free content is held to the same standards of quality and legality as paid products.
Authors who upload free items are subject to the following rules:
Quality and Functionality: All free items must be functional, complete, and free from any malicious code or defects. They must be accurately described and accompanied by relevant images.
Originality and Licensing: Authors must either be the original creator of the free item or have the necessary rights and licenses to distribute it for free. Free items are subject to the same copyright and infringement rules as paid items.
Prohibited Content: Free items must not contain any content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or in violation of our general policies.
Review Process: All free items, just like paid items, must pass our internal review process before being published on the Platform. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any free item at our discretion.
When you upload a free item, you must specify the license terms on the product page. Unless otherwise stated, all free products are automatically covered by a Standard Free License, which grants the user the right to:
Use the item for both personal and commercial projects.
Modify the item to fit their needs.
The Standard Free License prohibits the user from:
Redistributing or reselling the item as their own.
Claiming authorship of the item.
Authors retain full ownership and copyright of their free products. By uploading a free item, you grant DigiHubz a license to promote, display, and distribute it on the Platform.
DigiHubz does not charge any commission or fees on products that are offered for free. Authors will not receive any payout for free downloads.
By the Author: An author may, at any time, choose to change a free item into a paid item. However, any user who downloaded the item while it was free will retain their license to use it under the terms that were active at the time of download.
By DigiHubz: We reserve the right to remove any free item from the Platform if it is found to be of low quality, outdated, or in violation of our policies.
Authors are encouraged to provide basic support for their free items to maintain a good reputation. However, the level of support for free items may be different from that of paid items. All disputes related to free items will be handled according to our dispute resolution process as outlined in the general Terms of Use.
